When you think of Crete, your mind probably goes straight to olive oil, feta, and fresh Greek salad. And while we advocate for the Mediterranean diet every day at Infinity Wellness, sometimes the soul (and the palate) craves a different kind of sophistication.
Last night, we stepped out of our “Mediterranean bubble” and discovered a hidden gem in the winding alleys of Chania’s Old City. If you’re looking for a break from the traditional Taverna, this is our “Hot Recommendation” for you.
The Vibe: International Chic Meets Ancient Charm
Located right in the heart of the Old Town, this sushi spot offers more than just food; it offers a full sensory experience. You sit outside in the alleyway, soaking in the magical atmosphere of Chania, while watching the chefs work in a spotless, open kitchen that faces the street.
Pro Tip: The restaurant is fully accessible for strollers and wheelchairs, making it a rare and comfortable find in the old city.
What’s on the Menu?
The Sushi: Incredibly fresh and high-quality. You can taste the precision in every roll.
Seaweed Salad: The perfect starter—crisp, fresh, and full of umami.
The Sake: Don’t skip it! We tried their premium sake, and it elevated the entire meal.
Price Point: It’s not the cheapest place in town, nor should it be. You are paying for top-tier ingredients and a unique culinary “Island” in the middle of Crete.
The “Infinity” Service
As always in Crete, the service is defined by the local “Filoxenia”—true kindness of heart. The staff is exceptionally polite, making you feel at home from the moment you sit down.
Complete Your Evening
After your meal, we highly recommend getting lost (on purpose!) in the surrounding alleys. It’s the perfect time to shop for authentic local art or pick up a few high-quality souvenirs for your loved ones back home.
Planning your Chania getaway? You can find this sushi sanctuary just a short drive from the hotel. Want to know what to wear for a breezy Friday night in Chania? Check out our guide on Cretan Weather & What to Pack.
